Community safety depends on people’s success during their community supervision. That’s why we advocate to remove barriers on parole and probation, while promoting opportunities that help people thrive.

Take action now: Urge lawmakers to continue eliminating barriers to success on community supervision.

Earned discharge is a Department of Corrections and Community Corrections process that requires a supervising officer to assess a person’s progress on supervision and allows a reduction in the length of supervision for people who are meeting their case plan goals. The approach makes our system more equitable, keeps families together, and promotes community safety.

Now is the time to build on this success. Tell your lawmakers to support SB 581.
