BREAKING: Oregon Governor Kate Brown
is examining ways to safely prevent the spread of Covid-19 in Oregon’s correctional facilities

With Covid-19 in Oregon’s prisons, public safety advocates took action to voice support for reducing the threat among people who are incarcerated, prison staff, and our communities.

Hundreds of people signed on to urge Governor Kate Brown to look into ways to safely lower the overcrowding in our prisons in a way that ensures the health and safety of Oregonians and our families.

Thank you, Governor Brown!

We’re grateful to her for thoughtfully researching how to safely and quickly protect people who live and work in prisons — and for continuing Oregon’s leadership in promoting both public safety and public health.

  • How Partnership for Safety & Justice is advocating for the health and safety of our communities, and
  • Actions you can take to help support this work.

Participants will also be able to ask questions and raise issues related to the crisis, which will help inform our work.

We hope to see you there!
