Over 100 advocates from 12 counties and 50 legislative districts made their voices heard at the Oregon Capitol, advocating for policies aimed at transforming community safety.
We advocated for policies that:
Reduce unnecessary community supervision by allowing people who are eligible and successful to have their sentences lowered by up to 50%
Invest in victims’ healing and gun violence prevention to help survivors heal, reduce future crime, and increase community safety across Oregon
Ensure equitable policy outcomes by requiring that workgroups and task forces include impacted people and people of color
Thank you for being a leader in the movement for safety and justice.
