Support survivors [0] of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Partnership for Safety and Justice needs you, your friends, your neighbors, and your relatives to complete a postcard with a short message to let the Co-Chairs of the Ways and Means Committee, Senator Kurt Schrader and Representative Mary Nolan, know that additional funding is needed to ensure basic services are available around the state. More funding can save the lives of Oregonians. This is a link to more information about the need to increase the amount allocated to the ODSVS Fund. [0]
We’re asking Partnership for Safety and Justice members to commit to getting ten people to sign two postcards each, one to Sen. Schrader and one to Rep. Nolan. Here’s how it works:
- Email Terrie [1] and let her know you will commit to getting people you know to fill out the postcards. If you can get more than ten people to sign the postcards, let her know. Please include your mailing address in the message.
- We will mail a set of postcards to you. The postcards include a message telling the Co-Chairs how important ODSVS Fund is to saving the lives of Oregonians.
- Ask your friends, family and neighbors to sign the postcards and fill in their return address. Adding a short personal message will make it more powerful, but is not necessary.
- Return the postcards to Partnership for Safety and Justice by May 25. We’ll send you a return envelope with the postcards. We will mail the postcards out to the Senator Schrader and Rep. Nolan.
Thank you for all your commitment and support as we continue to push for safe and sensible criminal justice policies. This campaign is one of many ways we are letting decision makers know Oregon needs to get smarter about how we approach public safety issues.
Thank you for being a part of the Oregon Action Alert Network!
