ODSVS Fund Increased

Terrie Quinteros’ work on the Oregon Domestic and Sexual Violence Services Fund (ODSVS Fund) increase came to fruition as Rep. Chip Shields, Chair of the Public Safety Subcommittee, added in an additional $2 million for ODSVS. While not fully funding DV shelters and other programs, the increase marks a huge step forward. Part of our success came from a postcard campaign coordinated by Quinteros. Postcards from nearly 90 Oregon cities were delivered to Ways and Means co-chairs Kurt Schrader and Mary Nolan. In the end, the additional funds will go a long way in helping victims of domestic and sexual violence find help and shelter in Oregon.
