Effects on Violence of Laws and Policies Facilitating the Transfer of Juveniles from the Juvenile Justice System to the Adult Justice System
- Center for Disease Control study found that youth who are tried as adults are more likely to commit future violent crimes.
Juvenile Transfer Laws: An Effective Deterrent to Delinquency?
- Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention report also found that youth are more like to recidivate and that transfer policies do not appear to have any deterrent effect on crime.
